Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare patients for blood draws, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of all collected specimens.
- Maintain a clean and sterile phlebotomy environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Record patient information and test results accurately in the laboratory information system (LIS).
- Perform basic laboratory tests as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
