Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Physical Design / Layout Engineer with 0-1 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Guwahati. The ideal candidate will possess an M.Tech degree and a foundational understanding of physical design principles applied to furniture and furnishing layouts. This role is crucial in translating design concepts into functional and aesthetically pleasing spatial arrangements for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and optimization of furniture layouts for residential and commercial spaces, ensuring efficient use of area and adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with senior designers and architects to understand project requirements and translate them into physical design plans.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) to develop 2D and 3D layouts, floor plans, and elevations.
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements, assess site conditions, and verify design implementation.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and installation.
- Contribute to the refinement of design processes and standards within the team.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on layout feasibility and constructability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in furniture design and space planning.
