Job Description
Role Summary: The Plant Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and optimization of all mechanical systems and equipment within the hospital's plant and facilities. This role ensures the efficient and safe functioning of critical infrastructure supporting patient care and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, medical gas systems, and power generation equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and hospital policies.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related issues and support new projects.
- Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair costs.
