Job Description
Role Summary: The Power Supply and Distribution Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of the power supply and distribution network within our steel manufacturing facilities. This role involves managing electrical infrastructure, troubleshooting power-related issues, and implementing strategies to optimize energy consumption and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all power distribution systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, and cabling.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes relevant to industrial power systems.
- Monitor power quality and implement measures to improve it, ensuring stable supply to critical plant equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve power supply interruptions and equipment failures promptly.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other engineering departments to integrate new equipment and ensure adequate power supply.
- Analyze energy consumption patterns and recommend strategies for energy efficiency and cost reduction.
- Manage spare parts inventory for power distribution equipment.
- Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and energy usage.
