Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Scientist to lead cutting-edge research and development initiatives in polymer science and engineering. The ideal candidate will drive the discovery and commercialization of novel polymeric materials and processes, contributing significantly to our product innovation pipeline and market leadership in the petrochemical and plastics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of researchers and scientists in polymer synthesis, characterization, and application development.
Develop and execute strategic research plans to address key business objectives and market needs in advanced polymers.
Design and conduct experiments for the synthesis of new polymers, including polymerization techniques and catalyst development.
Utilize advanced characterization techniques (e.g., GPC, DSC, TGA, NMR, FTIR, SEM, TEM) to understand polymer structure-property relationships.
Evaluate and optimize polymer processing techniques (e.g., extrusion, injection molding, film blowing) for desired material performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure successful product commercialization.
Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and emerging trends in polymer science and related fields.
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
Contribute to intellectual property development through patent applications.
