Private Equity Analyst

BuildCorp Investments is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Private Equity Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies within the building materials industry. This role offers significant exposure to deal execution, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct market research and industry analysis for potential investments.
2. Develop complex financial models, including LBO models, valuation analyses, and sensitivity testing.
3. Perform due diligence on target companies, including financial, commercial, and operational assessments.
4. Assist in the preparation of investment committee memos and presentations.
5. Monitor and support the performance of existing portfolio companies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
2. 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
3. Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
7. Prior experience or demonstrated interest in the building materials sector is a plus.
