Procurement Category Manager

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Category Manager to join our growing team at Adani Defence & Aerospace. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing category strategies for key indirect procurement areas, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services essential for our defense and aerospace operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier relationship management, and a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for assigned indirect spend areas (e.g., IT, MRO, Professional Services, Facilities Management).
2. Conduct market analysis, identify key suppliers, and lead sourcing activities including RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) processes.
3. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms while managing risks.
4. Manage and develop supplier relationships, ensuring performance meets or exceeds expectations and fostering strategic partnerships.
5. Monitor category performance against KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimization.
6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement solutions align with business objectives.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies relevant to the defense and aerospace sector.
