Procurement / Purchase Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Procurement / Purchase Engineer to join our dynamic team at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for raw materials, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery to support our manufacturing and R&D operations. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, negotiation skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure supply chain efficiency.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
• Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance) to understand their procurement needs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and generate regular reports on procurement activities and savings.
