Role Summary:
We are seeking a talented and innovative Product Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of new jewellery products, from conceptualization to final production, ensuring aesthetic appeal, functionality, and manufacturability. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our jewellery collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and develop innovative jewellery designs based on market trends, customer insights, and brand strategy.
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., Rhino, MatrixGold, AutoCAD).
- Collaborate with jewellery designers, merchandisers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet production standards.
- Develop prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate design integrity, wearability, and material performance.
- Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Research and stay updated on new materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques in the jewellery industry.
- Prepare design documentation, including specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and manufacturing instructions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
