Role Summary: The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is seeking a motivated and analytical Project Engineer (Refining) with 2-4 years of experience for its Jaipur office. This role is crucial for supporting our initiatives focused on improving refining processes for better environmental outcomes and resource efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and a unique perspective gained from an LLM degree, enabling innovative problem-solving in complex environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of refining process improvements to meet environmental standards and enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies for new projects and process modifications, leveraging analytical skills from an LLM background to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing refining systems, identifying areas for optimization and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, policymakers, and field staff, to integrate sustainable practices into industrial operations.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation, clearly communicating findings and recommendations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in refining technologies, environmental regulations, and policy frameworks relevant to the industry.
- Contribute to capacity-building activities and knowledge dissemination related to sustainable refining practices.
