Role Summary:
WestRock is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead manufacturing-focused projects. This role will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of capital projects and process improvement initiatives within our paper and packaging manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, manufacturing operations, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to plans and proactive risk identification and mitigation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, procurement, and maintenance, to achieve project goals.
- Oversee the procurement of equipment and services, managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
- Monitor project progress, prepare regular status reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Lead project close-out activities, including documentation, lessons learned, and final reporting.
