Job Description
Role Summary: The Pumpman will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various pumping systems within our import and export logistics operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of liquids and materials essential for our business processes. The Pumpman will work closely with the operations and maintenance teams to prevent downtime and ensure safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor various types of pumps (e.g., centrifugal, positive displacement) used in material handling and transfer.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pump systems, including lubrication, seal checks, and vibration analysis.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with pumps and associated equipment.
Carry out minor repairs and replacements of pump components such as seals, gaskets, bearings, and impellers.
Ensure all pumping operations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate records of pump performance, maintenance activities, and inventory of spare parts.
Respond to emergency situations involving pump failures or leaks.
Collaborate with other team members to optimize pump efficiency and reliability.
