Job Description
Role Summary: The Purchase Executive / Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement of industrial equipment, machinery, and related components for Larsen & Toubro's various projects and manufacturing units. This role requires a strategic approach to sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management to ensure timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for industrial equipment and machinery.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and inventory levels.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to understand their material requirements.
Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and potential supply chain risks.
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and ethical procurement practices.
