Radio Officer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Radio Officer to join our team. The Radio Officer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all radio communication equipment on our fleet of vehicles, ensuring seamless and safe communication for our drivers and operations. This role is critical for maintaining real-time connectivity and responding to emergencies within our urban transport network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor radio communication systems, including VHF, UHF, and satellite communication devices.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on radio equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with radio equipment and communication networks.
• Maintain clear and concise communication logs, recording all transmissions and significant events.
• Respond promptly to distress calls and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant radio communication regulations and licensing requirements.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new radio communication systems.
• Provide basic training to drivers on the proper use of radio equipment.
