Role Summary:
HDFC ERGO is seeking a qualified and experienced Radiologist to join our medical assessment team. The Radiologist will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting medical imaging reports for insurance claims processing, providing expert opinions, and ensuring accurate assessment of medical conditions related to insurance policies. This role involves close collaboration with claims adjusters, medical advisors, and policyholders to facilitate fair and efficient claim settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret diagnostic imaging reports (X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds) submitted as part of insurance claims.
- Provide expert medical opinions on the findings from imaging studies in relation to the insured medical condition.
- Assess the necessity and appropriateness of diagnostic procedures for insurance claim evaluation.
- Collaborate with internal medical teams and claims departments to ensure accurate and timely claim assessment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all reviews and opinions provided.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiology and medical imaging techniques.
- Assist in developing guidelines and protocols for the review of radiological reports within the claims process.
