We are seeking a diligent and legally astute Cargo Agent / Cargo Officer with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic TV / Radio team in Guwahati. The ideal candidate will possess an LLM degree and demonstrate a strong understanding of cargo logistics, regulatory compliance, and contract management within the media industry.

Role Summary:
As a Cargo Agent / Cargo Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cargo operations, ensuring efficient and compliant movement of equipment, assets, and materials essential for our broadcasting activities. This role requires a blend of logistical expertise and legal acumen to navigate the complexities of cargo handling, customs, and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the inbound and outbound shipment of broadcast equipment, props, and other essential materials.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international shipping regulations, customs laws, and import/export policies.
- Review and negotiate contracts with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and other third-party vendors.
- Conduct legal research and provide advice on cargo-related legal matters, including potential liabilities and dispute resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of all cargo movements, documentation, and financial transactions.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., production, engineering) and external agencies to facilitate smooth cargo operations.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cargo handling and management.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with cargo transportation, including insurance claims and loss prevention.
- Stay updated on changes in transportation laws, trade agreements, and industry best practices.
