Recruiting for Cost Accountant - Electrical Equipment Team

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Cost Accountant with 1-2 years of experience to join our finance team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree and a strong understanding of cost accounting principles within the electrical equipment manufacturing sector. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate cost tracking, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports.

Support the development and maintenance of standard costing systems.

Analyze variances between actual costs and standard costs, identifying root causes and proposing corrective actions.

Participate in inventory costing, valuation, and cycle count processes.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand manufacturing processes and cost drivers.

Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes for cost of goods sold.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
