Job Description

Role Summary:
Pratham Education Foundation is seeking a dynamic and organized Engine Fitter / Welder with 3-4 years of experience and an MBA/PGDM qualification to join our team in Thane. This role involves overseeing and managing the maintenance and operational aspects of our educational equipment and infrastructure, ensuring smooth project execution, and contributing to our mission of improving education for all. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical understanding combined with business acumen to optimize resource allocation and project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of engines and welding equipment used in educational programs and outreach activities.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning optimally and safely, adhering to established maintenance schedules and protocols.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables for engine and welding operations, ensuring timely procurement and stock management.
- Collaborate with program teams to understand equipment needs and provide technical support for project implementation.
- Develop and implement operational efficiency improvements for equipment usage and maintenance, aligning with organizational goals.
- Analyze equipment performance data and generate reports for management, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards in the workshop and field operations.
- Assist in the training of junior staff or volunteers on basic equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Contribute to strategic planning for equipment upgrades and procurement based on operational requirements and budget constraints.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance, negotiating terms and ensuring quality of service.
