Role Summary:
Aravind Eye Care System is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hedge Fund Manager with 1-2 years of experience and an LLB degree to join our finance team in Thiruvananthapuram. This role will involve supporting the management of our investment portfolio, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to strategic financial planning within our unique social enterprise model. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, legal frameworks, and a passion for contributing to our mission of eliminating needless blindness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the research, analysis, and selection of investment opportunities for the organization's endowment and operating funds.
- Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Ensure all investment activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, leveraging your LLB background.
- Conduct due diligence on potential investments and manage relationships with external fund managers and advisors.
- Support the development and implementation of investment strategies and risk management policies.
- Analyze financial statements and market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts related to investment activities.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to all contractual obligations and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and their impact on investment strategies.
