We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Radio Officer with 1-2 years of experience to join our Ports & Shipping team in Nasik. This role is crucial for ensuring effective maritime communication and safety aboard vessels. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and a foundational understanding of maritime communication systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate marine radio communication equipment according to international maritime regulations (GMDSS).
- Maintain logs of all radio communications and equipment performance.
- Respond to distress calls and provide assistance as required.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of radio equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and communication protocols.
- Communicate effectively with ship's crew, port authorities, and other vessels.
