We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Subject Matter Expert - IT with a Doctorate/PhD to join our Leather division. This role is crucial for providing deep technical expertise and strategic guidance on IT solutions relevant to the leather industry's unique operational and business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, data analytics, and their application within manufacturing and supply chain environments, specifically tailored for the leather sector. This position is for individuals with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand the specific IT needs and challenges within the leather industry, including supply chain management, manufacturing execution systems (MES), quality control, and customer relationship management (CRM).
- Develop and propose innovative IT strategies and solutions to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability within the leather business unit.
- Provide expert consultation on the selection, implementation, and optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, specialized software for leather processing, and data analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, marketing, and sales, to ensure IT solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in IT and the leather industry, evaluating their potential impact and applicability.
- Design and oversee pilot projects for new IT initiatives, documenting outcomes and lessons learned.
- Contribute to the development of IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks relevant to the leather sector.
- Train and mentor junior IT staff and business users on specialized IT applications and processes.
