Role Summary:
We are seeking a specialized Reefer Engineer to join our team, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of refrigerated transport units used in the logistics and supply chain aspects of the insurance industry, particularly for high-value cargo or specialized claims. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of goods during transit and storage, minimizing spoilage, and supporting our risk assessment and claims management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems of reefer units.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing on reefer equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Monitor reefer unit performance, temperature logs, and operational data to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with cargo requirements.
• Collaborate with logistics and claims departments to assess reefer unit suitability for specific cargo types and insurance risks.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections, including parts used and labor hours.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond to emergency reefer unit failures and provide on-site or remote support as needed.
