Refrigeration / HVAC Engineer

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration / HVAC Engineer to join our facilities management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within our corporate offices and facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring a comfortable and efficient working environment for our employees and maintaining the optimal functioning of our infrastructure, which supports our critical insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and plan HVAC systems for new installations and upgrades, ensuring compliance with building codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC equipment, including chillers, air handling units, ductwork, and control systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all HVAC systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system malfunctions, performing timely and effective repairs.
• Manage HVAC contractors and vendors, ensuring quality of work and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, system performance, and inventory of spare parts.
• Monitor energy consumption of HVAC systems and recommend strategies for improvement and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to HVAC operations.
