Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Release Engineer with a BBA/BBM background to join our dynamic team in Nagpur. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and coordinating the release of software and system updates, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations. Your understanding of business processes and project management, combined with a keen eye for detail, will be vital in this position. This role is ideal for individuals with 5 to 5 years of experience looking to leverage their business acumen in a technical release management capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases across various environments (development, testing, production).
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to define release scope and schedule.
- Develop and maintain release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures.
- Track and report on release progress, identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies.
- Ensure all release activities adhere to established change management processes and compliance requirements.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders regarding release status and potential impacts.
- Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement in the release process.
- Manage release calendars and ensure timely delivery of software updates.
- Support the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools where applicable.
- Assist in the coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT) and sign-offs.
