Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Release Engineer to join our dynamic team at ONGC. The Release Engineer will be responsible for managing and automating the software release process, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment of applications and infrastructure updates across various environments. This role requires a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the oil and gas industry context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software builds, testing, and deployments.
- Manage and optimize version control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Implement and manage deployment strategies (e.g., blue-green, canary releases).
- Monitor release performance and troubleshoot deployment issues.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure successful releases.
- Maintain documentation for release processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards within the oil and gas sector.
