Role Summary:
HDFC Bank is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Reservoir Engineer to join our team. This role will involve applying engineering principles to analyze and optimize the performance of oil and gas assets, with a focus on financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment evaluation within the financial services domain. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical reservoir understanding and financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze reservoir data (production, logs, core data, seismic) to develop and validate reservoir models.
- Perform decline curve analysis, material balance calculations, and volumetric estimations.
- Develop and implement reservoir simulation studies to predict future performance under various development scenarios.
- Evaluate the economic viability of reservoir development and enhancement projects, including NPV, IRR, and payback period calculations.
- Assess risks associated with reservoir performance and project execution, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical input for due diligence on potential acquisitions and investments in the oil and gas sector.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and financial analysts to optimize asset value.
- Monitor reservoir performance and recommend operational adjustments.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
