Retail Cashier

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Retail Cashier to join our team. The Retail Cashier will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, handling cash and other payment methods, and providing excellent customer service at our retail outlet. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Scan and accurately enter all items into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Process payments by cash, credit/debit cards, and other approved methods.
- Count and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Provide correct change to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays when needed.
- Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat business.
