RTG Crane Operator - Urban Transport (2-4 Yrs Exp)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced RTG Crane Operator to join our dynamic Urban Transport division in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of RTG crane operations, safety protocols, and a commitment to efficient project execution. This role is crucial for the successful operation of our large-scale construction projects, particularly in the metro rail sector. While the primary function is operation, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree demonstrates a strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude that we value in our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites, adhering strictly to project timelines and safety regulations.

Perform pre-operational checks, daily inspections, and routine maintenance on RTG cranes to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues. Report any malfunctions or defects promptly.

Read and interpret load charts, engineering drawings, and lifting plans to ensure accurate and safe material handling.

Coordinate effectively with site supervisors, ground crew, and other machinery operators to ensure smooth and synchronized operations.

Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, including hours of operation, loads lifted, and any incidents or near misses.

Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and government regulations related to crane operation and construction site safety.

Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement in crane operations.
