Second Officer / Mate

Role Summary: The Second Officer / Mate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Officer in the overall management and operation of the retail store, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires strong leadership qualities and a keen eye for detail to support daily operations and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise and guide store associates, providing training and performance feedback.
- Manage inventory, including stock counts, receiving, and merchandising to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are met and maintained.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and security procedures.
- Support in staff scheduling and management.
- Contribute to creating a positive and productive work environment.
