Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Criminal Law professional with 2-4 years of experience to join our legal team in Kochi. This role is ideal for an individual who does not require a post-graduation degree and is eager to contribute to the legal framework of a prominent player in the Indian pulp and paper industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various criminal law matters, ensuring compliance, and providing legal support to the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of criminal complaints, petitions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research on criminal law matters relevant to the company's operations.
- Represent the company in police inquiries, investigations, and before various criminal courts and quasi-judicial bodies.
- Advise management on potential criminal liabilities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and law enforcement agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable criminal laws and regulations.
- Handle documentation and record-keeping for all criminal law related cases.
- Support the broader legal team in corporate legal matters as required.
