Role Summary: We are looking for a diligent and legally astute Derrickman with 2-4 years of experience to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory aspects related to our chemical operations, with a specific focus on safety protocols and environmental regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of legal frameworks governing the chemical industry and the ability to apply them to day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to all relevant Indian environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations within the chemical plant.
Review and interpret legal documents, permits, and licenses pertaining to chemical manufacturing and operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of legal compliance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Conduct legal risk assessments related to chemical handling, storage, and disposal.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external legal counsel as required.
Provide legal guidance on operational matters, including incident investigation and reporting.
Maintain accurate records of all legal and compliance-related activities.
Stay updated on changes in legislation and regulations affecting the chemical industry in India.
