Senior Accounting & Taxation - Other - Education

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and analytical individual with a Doctorate/PhD to join our finance team as a Senior Accounting & Taxation Specialist. This role requires 2-4 years of relevant experience and will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the accounting and taxation functions within our educational institution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations, coupled with a research-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards.

• Manage and file all Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, corporate tax filings, and other direct and indirect tax compliances.

• Conduct in-depth research on tax laws and regulations, providing insights and recommendations for tax planning and optimization.

• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and analyses for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and support strategic decision-making.
