Senior Data Scientist - Urban Transport Analytics

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic Data Science & Analytics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in leveraging complex datasets to derive actionable insights that drive strategic decisions in urban transport planning and operations. You will work on challenging problems related to traffic flow optimization, public transit ridership forecasting, demand prediction, and the impact of new mobility services.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large-scale urban mobility data.
- Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate the effectiveness of different transport strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and urban planners to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's knowledge base.

Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on applied machine learning and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in Python or R and relevant data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, NumPy).
- Experience with SQL and working with large, diverse datasets.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
