Senior Legal Counsel - Arbitration & Litigation

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all arbitration and litigation matters for Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations within the Indian entertainment industry. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate law, intellectual property, and dispute resolution mechanisms, with a specific focus on arbitration and criminal law aspects pertinent to media and entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement legal strategies for arbitration proceedings, both domestic and international.
* Represent the company in arbitration hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution forums.
* Manage and oversee all civil and criminal litigation matters involving the company, including intellectual property disputes, contractual disagreements, and defamation cases.
* Conduct legal research and provide expert advice on complex legal issues related to arbitration, criminal law, and corporate compliance within the entertainment sector.
* Draft and review legal documents, including arbitration agreements, settlement agreements, pleadings, and court filings.
* Liaise with external counsel, government agencies, and law enforcement authorities.
* Advise on risk mitigation strategies to prevent future legal disputes and potential criminal liabilities.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all litigation and arbitration matters to senior management.
* Stay abreast of changes in Indian arbitration law, criminal law, and regulations affecting the media and entertainment industry.
