Senior Legal Counsel - Criminal Law

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel with a strong background in Criminal Law to join our dynamic legal team. This role will be instrumental in advising the company on all criminal law matters, ensuring compliance, and managing litigation related to our extensive operations in the urban transport sector across India. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Indian criminal statutes and their application to corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance on all criminal law matters affecting the company, including but not limited to fraud, corruption, regulatory offenses, and employee misconduct.

Conduct thorough investigations into alleged criminal activities, gather evidence, and prepare comprehensive reports.

Manage and oversee all criminal litigation, including drafting pleadings, appearing before courts and tribunals, and coordinating with external counsel.

Develop and implement robust compliance programs and internal policies to mitigate criminal risks.

Advise on contractual clauses related to criminal liability and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

Liaise with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and other government authorities on criminal matters.

Stay abreast of changes in criminal law and their potential impact on the company's business operations.

Conduct legal training sessions for employees on criminal law compliance and ethical conduct.
