Senior Legal Counsel - Family Law & Property

Role Summary:
Godrej Properties Limited is seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel with expertise in Family Law and its intersection with property rights, particularly within the Indian legal framework. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal advisory and support to the company on matters related to family disputes, inheritance, property division, and other related legal issues that may impact real estate transactions and asset management. This role requires a deep understanding of Indian family law statutes, civil procedure, and property law, with a strong ability to navigate complex legal scenarios and protect the company's interests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise on legal implications of family law matters concerning property ownership, inheritance, and succession for company stakeholders and projects.
- Draft and review legal documents, agreements, and opinions related to family disputes, property settlements, and wills.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and mediations concerning family law and property disputes.
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on evolving family law legislation and its impact on real estate.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Legal, Finance, Projects) to ensure compliance with all applicable family and property laws.
- Manage external legal counsel and ensure effective resolution of legal matters.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks associated with family law disputes affecting company assets.
- Provide training and guidance to relevant departments on family law compliance and best practices.
