Service / Maintenance Supervisor (Full-Time) | Chennai

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Service / Maintenance Supervisor with 3-4 years of experience to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess a B.Com degree and be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective functioning of maintenance and service operations within our pulp and paper manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of operational processes and the ability to manage resources effectively to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance and service teams, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor the performance of plant machinery and equipment, scheduling preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, coordinating repair efforts to minimize production impact.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair histories, and spare parts inventory.
- Assist in the procurement of spare parts and consumables, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance operations.
- Analyze maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to understand their needs and provide support for operational efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships for external repair services and specialized maintenance tasks.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and performance metrics for management review.
