Role Summary: The Shipping & Maritime Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the shipping and logistics operations for the company's diverse range of gems and jewellery products. This role requires a deep understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and supply chain management to ensure timely and secure delivery of high-value goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the shipment of raw materials, finished goods, and other valuable items globally.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant international and domestic shipping regulations, customs laws, and trade agreements.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers to negotiate rates and ensure smooth transit.
• Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Track and monitor shipments in real-time, providing updates to internal stakeholders and addressing any delays or issues promptly.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize shipping costs and improve delivery efficiency.
• Manage insurance claims related to lost or damaged shipments.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and expenses.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in shipping and logistics.
