Job Description
Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to manage and optimize our shipping and maritime logistics operations within the electronics manufacturing sector in India. This role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international trade, customs procedures, and supply chain management specific to the electronics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of inbound and outbound shipping and logistics, including sea, air, and land transportation.
Develop and implement strategies to improve shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize transit times.
Manage relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.
Ensure compliance with all Indian and international shipping regulations, customs laws, and trade agreements.
Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
Monitor and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Handle claims and resolve any issues related to damaged or lost shipments.
Analyze logistics data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving measures.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in shipping and maritime logistics.
