Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Maritime professional with 3-5 years of experience and a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree to join our team at Havells India Ltd. in Chandigarh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of our shipping and maritime operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipping activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
Develop and implement efficient logistics and supply chain strategies to optimize transportation costs and improve transit times.
Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws.
Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party logistics providers.
Monitor shipment status, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and review shipping documents, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork.
Analyze shipping data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, production, sales) to ensure smooth flow of goods.
Maintain accurate records of all shipping and logistics operations.
