Job Description
Role Summary: The Software Compliance - License Management role is responsible for ensuring that the company's software assets are acquired, deployed, and utilized in compliance with licensing agreements and relevant regulations. This position plays a crucial role in mitigating legal risks, optimizing software spend, and maintaining an auditable software inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement policies and procedures for software license management.
Track and manage all software licenses, including procurement, renewals, and expirations.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software license agreements.
Identify opportunities for cost savings through license optimization and consolidation.
Liaise with IT, legal, and procurement departments to ensure accurate software inventory and usage.
Stay updated on software licensing models, vendor audit practices, and relevant compliance regulations.
Manage relationships with software vendors regarding licensing and compliance matters.
Prepare reports on software license status, compliance risks, and cost-saving initiatives.
