Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Software Compliance Officer with 1-2 years of experience to join our team in Mangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all software assets within our organization are licensed correctly and used in compliance with vendor agreements and relevant regulations. This role is crucial for mitigating legal risks and optimizing software expenditures within the NGO sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track all software licenses and subscriptions across the organization.
- Verify software installations against procured licenses to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the procurement process by providing insights into license requirements and available options.
- Maintain accurate records of software assets, license keys, and vendor contracts.
- Conduct regular audits to identify any instances of non-compliance or unauthorized software usage.
- Prepare reports on software license status, compliance risks, and potential cost savings.
- Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to manage software renewals and terminations.
- Stay updated on software licensing policies and industry best practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures for software asset management.
