Sommelier

Role Summary: Zomato is seeking a highly knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to curate and manage our wine offerings, enhance the dining experience for our users, and provide expert recommendations. This role will be instrumental in elevating our premium dining partnerships and ensuring a sophisticated beverage program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Zomato's wine list for premium partner restaurants, focusing on quality, variety, and profitability.
• Conduct wine tastings and evaluations to select new wines for the portfolio.
• Educate and train restaurant staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and pairing recommendations.
• Provide expert wine recommendations to customers through the Zomato platform and during dining experiences.
• Manage wine inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, and cost control.
• Stay abreast of current wine trends, emerging regions, and new producers.
• Collaborate with culinary teams to develop effective food and wine pairing menus.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor laws and regulations.
