Role Summary: We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Sound Director to lead the sound design and audio experience for our innovative aviation projects. This role will be instrumental in shaping the auditory landscape of our aircraft interiors and external communications, ensuring an immersive and high-quality sound environment for passengers and crew. The Sound Director will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and product teams to bring our auditory vision to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall sound strategy for new aviation products and services.
- Design and create immersive audio experiences for aircraft cabins, including ambient sounds, alert systems, and entertainment audio.
- Oversee the recording, editing, and mixing of all audio assets, ensuring high fidelity and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with acoustic engineers to optimize sound propagation and minimize noise pollution within the aircraft environment.
- Manage sound libraries and ensure consistency in audio branding across all touchpoints.
- Conduct sound testing and user feedback sessions to refine and improve audio designs.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in sound design, audio engineering, and aviation acoustics.
- Lead and mentor junior sound designers and audio engineers.
