Sound Director

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Sound Director with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree to lead our audio-visual and acoustics initiatives within our Pune-based biotechnology operations. This role is crucial for enhancing our research environments, product development, and internal/external communications through strategic sound design and management. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the company's sound strategy, ensuring high-quality audio experiences across all platforms and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sound strategy aligned with Biocon's research and business objectives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of acoustic environments for research labs, manufacturing facilities, and collaborative spaces, ensuring optimal conditions for sensitive experiments and employee well-being.
- Lead sound design for internal and external communication materials, including corporate videos, presentations, training modules, and marketing content.
- Manage audio recording, mixing, and mastering processes, ensuring professional quality and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to explore and integrate innovative audio technologies in product development and diagnostic tools.
- Source, manage, and maintain audio equipment and software, negotiating with vendors and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Train and mentor junior audio staff and cross-functional teams on sound best practices.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in audio engineering, acoustics, and sound design, particularly within the life sciences sector.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations pertaining to noise levels and acoustic environments.
