Strategic Sourcing Manager

Role Summary: The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies to ensure the procurement of high-quality raw materials, components, and services for CaratLane's jewellery manufacturing operations. This role is crucial in optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and fostering strong supplier relationships within the Indian gems and jewellery ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing plans for key raw materials (e.g., gold, diamonds, gemstones) and packaging materials.

Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, ethical sourcing practices, and regulatory requirements.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable payment terms.

Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk, conducting regular reviews and driving continuous improvement.

Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential supply chain disruptions.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (design, manufacturing, finance) to understand material requirements and ensure timely procurement.

Develop and implement inventory management strategies in collaboration with the supply chain team.

Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing policies and sustainability initiatives.
