Sustainability Manager

Role Summary: Biocon Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and drive our sustainability initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies that align with our commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability. This role is crucial in enhancing our corporate reputation and ensuring compliance with evolving sustainability regulations and stakeholder expectations within the Indian biotechnology sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate sustainability strategy, including setting ambitious targets and KPIs.
• Oversee environmental management systems, focusing on reducing carbon footprint, water consumption, and waste generation.
• Drive social responsibility programs, including community engagement, ethical sourcing, and employee well-being initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulations and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, Legal) to integrate sustainability into business processes.
• Manage sustainability reporting and stakeholder communication, including annual sustainability reports and investor relations.
• Identify and assess sustainability risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation and enhancement strategies.
• Stay abreast of emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices in the biotechnology industry and the Indian market.
• Lead and mentor a sustainability team, fostering a culture of environmental and social responsibility.
