System Administrator / Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator/Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team at Nestlé India. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our IT systems and networks, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across the organization. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and related software.
2. Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
3. Perform regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users and systems.
5. Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus, intrusion detection, and access controls.
6. Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
7. Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and reliability.
8. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
9. Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support business objectives.
