Job Description

Role Summary:
Pratham Education Foundation is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our finance team. The Tax Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, assisting in tax planning, and supporting the preparation and filing of tax returns for the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of Indian tax laws, particularly as they apply to non-profit organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and review of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) filings, and other direct and indirect tax compliances.

Conduct tax research on various tax matters and provide insights to the finance team.

Support in tax audits and assessments, liaising with tax authorities and external consultants.

Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.

Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.

Assist in tax planning initiatives and strategies to optimize tax efficiency.

Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for tax filings and compliance.
