Role Summary:
The Taxation Executive will be responsible for managing and overseeing all taxation matters for the organization in India. This role requires a thorough understanding of Indian tax laws, compliance, and reporting, ensuring the organization adheres to all statutory obligations while optimizing tax strategies within the legal framework of the non-profit sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all applicable tax returns (e.g., Income Tax, GST, TDS) for the organization.
Manage tax assessments, audits, and inquiries from tax authorities.
Provide guidance on tax implications of various organizational activities, projects, and donations.
Stay updated with changes in Indian tax laws and regulations, especially those pertaining to NGOs and non-profit organizations.
Assist in tax planning and strategy to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities within legal bounds.
Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
Liaise with internal and external auditors, legal counsel, and tax consultants.
Ensure compliance with TDS and GST regulations, including timely deposit and return filing.
